MASSENGILL, JAMES A., age 88, of Heiskell, Tennessee passed
away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was a member of Longfield Baptist Church in Lake City. He was a WWII Army
Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Cora
Massengill; sisters, Irma Massengill & Nyree Nelson. Survivors: Wife of 47
years, Mildred Jackson Massengill of Heiskell, TN; daughter, Hattie White &
husband, Bobby, of Clinton, TN. special nieces & nephews, Shirley Ruth &
Bobby Sherrwood of Clinton,TN, Carolyn Lawson & husband, Trent, of Saltillo,
Charles Nelson of Heiskell, TN; several other nieces & nephews and host of
friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2007
from 6 to 8 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to
follow in the chapel at 8:00 PM. Interment will be Friday, May 18th at 11:00
AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
