Saint Landry (Evangeline Parish), Louisiana. Roy
enlisted in the Army in Lafayette, LA on September 17, 1942 and became a
qualified parachutist. He was assigned to Company F of the 508th PIR.
His military decorations include the Bronze Service
Arrowhead
device on the European-African-Middle East Campaign medal for his
participation in the Battle of The Rhineland (Battle of the Bulge) Campaign. |
