Grave marker for Theodore R. MacDonald in Section 437, Site 279, Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell (Sumter county), Florida.

Theodore enlisted in the Army on 27 March 1943. 

On 5 August 1944, Pvt McDonald was transferred from 82d Airborne Division, Leicester, England to Hq 1st, 508th PIR.  He was promoted to Pfc on 4 January 1945.

On 6 February 1945 Pfc McDonald was evacuated to a field hospital and classed as a non-battle injury and rejoined the company on 18 February.  He was transferred to Company B on 1 April 1945.

Theodore married Donna Marie Colwell in Detroit (Wayne), MI on 6 January 1947 and was discharged on 1 November 1947.
