Grave marker for Benito Menchaca in the Our Lady Of Peace Plot, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth (Tarrant county), Texas.

Benito enlisted in the Army at Dallas, TX on 24 November 1942 and was assigned to Company H, 508th PIR.

On 24 March 1944, Pvt Menchaca was sent to the 130th General Hospital, Mansfield, England.  On June 5th he was reported as being in the 184th General Hospital, Mansfield but still attached to Company H.

However, on 29 December 1944 he was transferred to the 4th General Hospital and did not return to the regiment.
