Theodore enlisted in the army at Kalamazoo, MI on 29 October 1942.

Although his arrival in H Company was not recorded, Pfc Milanowski was transferred from Co H to Service Company on 3 April 1945. 

He was discharged on 27 December 1945 and was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations
