Joseph enlisted in the Army at Camp Shelby, MS on 10
March 1943. Pfc Mons
was transferred to Hq Hq, 508th from the XVIII Corp (Airborne) on 8 May
1945 when the regiment was stationed at Sissonne, France. He
undoubtedly served as a member of the 508th's Honor Guard in Frankfurt
until his points enabled him to return to the U.S. He was
discharged on 26 November 1945 |
