JAMES T. MOORE

MOORE, James T., 74, of Marion, Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2001 at his home with his wife and children by his side. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Marion Masonic Lodge #31 A.F. & A.M., and the Eastern Star. He was the owner of Moore's Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service, Inc. where he worked closely with his family. He was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineer Society, and was a veteran of World War II serving in the 82nd Airborne in the European Theater.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a son, James Thomas "Jimmy" Moore, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Eula R. Moore of Marion, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Jama and Joe Hash of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lisa Moore of Atkins, Virginia and Joseph and Jane Moore of Chilhowie, Virginia; one sister, Evelyn Whittemore of Orange City, Florida; one brother, Charles Moore of Johnson City, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Megan Hash, Josh Hash, Lauren Hash and Laken Moore.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 6, 2001 at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Miller and Rev. Mary K. Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Marion VFW Post #4667. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Moore family.
