Majorique G. Morann
enlisted in the army in Hartford, CT 23 February 1942 and attended OCS
before joining Company I, 508th PIR as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Lt Morann made the jump
into Normandy on 6 June 1944 and was reported missing in action 2 days
later.
It was not until 23 August
1944 that his whereabouts became known in an unnamed field hospital.
His status was changed to wounded in action on 8 June 1944. On 9
October 1944 he was transferred to another hospital. He did not
return to the regiment.
As a civilian he worked as
a gun smith for the High Standard Weapons and Arms Manufacturing Co,
East Hartford, CT. |
