Letson married Dorothy May Blankenship in Cabell County, West Virginia in 1941

Letson registered for the draft in Cabell county, WV on 16 October 1940 and was inducted into the Army at Huntington, WV on 10 July 1944.

Pfc Morrison was transferred from the 101st Airborne Division to Company I, 508th PIR on 19 October 1945.

Letson and Dorothy are buried in Highland Cemetery, Huntington (Cabell), WV in an unmarked grave in the Blankenship family plot
