Judson E. Moses Jr., 81, of Cumming [GA] died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004.
He was born in Troy, Ala., and attended Boys High School and Georgia
Institute of Technology.
He was a veteran of U.S. Army, having served in World War
II with a parachute infantry regiment at Normandy. He earned several awards,
including two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was a motion picture
publicity representative and was a member of Gombe Society and the Variety
Club. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Cumming and Unity
Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Fitts Moses, Cumming; stepson, Bob Fitts,
Jacksonville, Fla.; stepdaughters, Karen Drillot and Jane Hanson, both of
Lawrenceville; sister, Sara Owen, Atlanta; seven step-grandchildren and five
step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at
Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Bob Jolly and the Rev. Beth Royalty will
officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First
Baptist Church of Cumming, 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040
