ANTHONY J. MROZINSKI

He enlisted in the Army on 24 September 1940 at Philadelphia, PA and volunteered for parachutist duty.  He was assigned to the 507th PIR ad qualified as a parachutist. He was transferred in October 1942 as a cadre member to the 508th PIR when it was being activated.

Pvt Mrozinski participated in the jump into Normandy on D-Day, 6 June 1944 and was wounded on 12 June 44.  He was evacuated to the 192nd General Hospital in Gloucestershire, England. Anthony was released from the hospital and returned to the unit's base camp in Wollaton Park on July 5th.

On 17 September 1944 Pfc Mrozinski umped into Holland and was reported as MIA two days later.  He had been captured and was interned until July 1945 when he was liberated from Stalag 2B.
