Prior to retirement in 1990, Mr. Muchanski was a package engineer for Avco Lycoming for 35 years. He was an Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he leaves sons, Joseph B. Muchanski of Shelton and Eugene F. Muchanski of Carlsbad, Calif.; a brother, Edward Merancy of New Haven, and sisters, Helen Lembo of Ansonia and Ellen Rakyta of Litchfield. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Merancy, and sisters, Ann Hulme and Estelle Miller. - Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, Derby.
