CASSIUS WILLARD MULLINS

Grave marker for Cassius Willard Mullins in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell (Sumter County), Florida.

Cassius enlisted at Ft Thomas, Newport, KY on December 3, 1942; He was a native of Kentucky and lived in Kenton county, KY at the time.

He was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead device in recognition of his participation in Normandy assault.

Following the hostilities, SSgt Mullins was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany as the 508th was the Honor Guard for General Eisenhower art SHAEF HQ. During that period he met and married WAC Eleanor J. McLean.
