CHARLIE K. MURRAY
EUTAWVILLE - Services for Charlie K. Murray, 77, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Avinger Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. A Masonic service will be held 5:30 today. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Murray died August 11, 2001. Born in Grover, he was the son of the late William B. Murray and Nealie Utsey Murray. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Rast, Brenda Infinger; son, William Luther Murray; six grandchildren.

Grave markers for Charlie K. Murray in the Holly Cemetery, Holly Hill (Orangeburg county), South Carolina.

Charlie enlisted in the Army at Ft Jackson, Columbia, SC on 7 August 1943.

In November of 1944, Charlie joined the 508th and was assigned to Company B.

His military awards include the CIB for action during Ardennes campaign, 18 Dec 1944 to 20 Feb 1945.
