MICHAEL MUTICH

Grave marker for Michael 'Mickey" Mutich in Section 14, Lot 41, Grave 3 of the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon (Westmoreland county), Pennsylvania.

Michael enlisted in the Army at Fort George G. Meade, MD on 24 July 1942.

Pfc Mutich, a member of Company "I", was wounded in action on 7 January 1945 in Belgium.  After hospitalization he was able to return to duty on 8 March 1945.

His military awards include the Purple Heart as well as the Bronze Service Arrowhead for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations,
