MARION NAUMOFF

   Marion A. Naumoff "Rocky", age 78, of Hilliard, formerly of Grandview Hts., passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
   Born March 1, 1932 to the late James and Eva Naumoff. Graduate of East High School Class of 1950. Served in the US Army, Private 1st Class paratrooper Company C, 508th Airborne Inf. Regt.  Retired from Cole-Layer-and Trumble Appraisals.
   Survived by wife, Nancy after 55 years of marriage; children, Eva (Mike) Bigler and Cheryl Naumoff; grandchildren, Carly, Kyle and Kevin Bigler, Paige and Byron Farley; sister-in-law; many nieces, nephews, friends and beloved pets.
   Family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Tidd Funeral Home with Crematory, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
   Inurnment Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society or The Alzheimer's Association.

Grave marker for Marion Naumoff in Section 1005, Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus (Franklin county), Ohio.
   Marion served as a rifleman with the 508th ARCT, Ft Benning, GA.
   Nicknamed "Rocky," Marion was a Golden Gloves boxer in his hometown of Columbus, OH.  Then while stationed at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA, he put the gloves on for the 508th's boxing team.
   He was discharged from the army in July, 1954 and married Nancy Louise Buckley in August 1955.
