Grave marker for James B. Nicholas in the Gethsemane-1  Plot of the Arlington Park Cemetery, Jacksonville (Duval county), Florida.

Pvt Nicholas was a member of the Medical Detachment, Florida National Guard and was station in Tampa, FL on 31 December 1942.  The unit was activated and on attached to 25 July 1944 Pvt Nicholas was attached to the Medical Detachment from the 307th airborne.  He was later relieved of that attachment on 15 September 1944 and attached to the 82nd Airborne Division in Leicester, England.
