Grave marker for Henry J. Niedhammer in Plot SP, Lot 273, Mansfield Catholic Cemetery, Mansfield (Richland county), Ohio,

Henry enlisted in the Army on 31 October 1942 and was assigned to Service Company, 508h PIR.

At some point he was transferred to Hq 2nd as his photo appears in that company's montage of personnel.  Those photos were taken in the Spring of 1943.  But, the morning reports for both Hq 2nd and Svc Co are missing for 1943 and it appears that Henry was transferred out of the 508th during that period.
