Grave marker for Frank J. Novobilsky in the Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen (Westmoreland county), Pennsylvania.

Frank enlisted at Greensburg, PA on 28 June 1943.  Following completion of basic training and jump school, Pvt Novobilsky was sent to the 82nd ABN Replacement Depot in England.

On 8 April 1944 Pvt Novobilsky was transferred to Hq Company, 3rd Battalion, 508th.

He was promoted to the grade of Technician Fifth Grade on 21 July 1944 and then quickly promoted to of Tec/4 on 9 October 1944.

T/4 Novobilsky was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for participation in the Normandy assault.
