Grave marker for Joseph V. Olewinski in Resurrection
Cemetery, Wyoming (Kent county), Michigan.
Joseph enlisted in the Army at Kalamazoo, MI on 25 July 1942 and was
assigned to Company E, 508th PIR.
Pvt Olewinski was transferred to the 29th Infantry
Division on 7 April 1944. According to an unofficial list compiled by
residents of Holland he later became a member of the 506th PIR.
He was discharged on 17 October 1945. |
