DAVID E. ORCUTT

Grave marker for David E. Orcutt in the Riverside Cemetery, Marianna (Jackson county), Florida.

David enlisted in the Army at Fort McClellan, AL on 22 October 1942.  Pfc Orcutt was assigned to the F Company and was declared a qualified parachutist at Fort Benning on 5 March 1943 when the entire regiment went through jump school.

He was appointed Cpl as of 21 July 44 and then quickly donned sergeant stripes on 1 November 1944.

His military awards include the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for participation in Normandy assault.
