Grave marker for Darrel J. Palmer in Oakwood Memorial
Park, Chatsworth (Los Angeles county), California.
 Darrel
registered for the draft ca. 143 and enlisted in the Army at Fort
Leavenworth, KS on 8 May 1944. On 1 October
1945, Pvt Palmer was transferred from the 504th PIR to Company F, 508th
PIR. He was promoted to Pfc on 13 November 1945.
Pfc Palme was sent on TDY with Headquarters Command,
European Theatre, on 21 December 1945. By the end of 1945 he had
not returned to the regiment. There are no available records fo
