  Paul
registered for the raft on 30 June 1942 and was inducted into the
Army at New Cumberland, PA on 20 July 1944.
Pfc Palmitessa was transferred from the
101st Airborne Division to Company F, 508th PIR on 23 October 1945.
He returned to the U.S. on 2 March 1946. Sgt Pfc Palmitessa was
discharged at Fort Dix, NJ on 23 August 1946.
Paul submitted this application for the Pennsylvania WWII Veterans Bonus
on 22 February 1950. He was credited with 8 months of domestic
duty and 12 months of foreign service yielding a $260 bonus. |
