Grave marker for Chester W. Parcell in the Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona (Shannon), Missouri.

Chester enlisted in the Army at Jefferson Barracks, MO on 10 March 1943. After completion of basic training and jump school, Pvt Parcell was shipped to England.

On 3 October 1944 Pvt Parcell was transferred from HQ 82nd Airborne Division to Company A, 508th PIR.

His military decorations include the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the Ardennes Campaign (Battle of The Bulge), 18 Dec 1944 to 20 Feb 1945.
