PAUL P. PATERSON

Grave marker for Paul P. Paterson in Division, Row 34 of the Elmwood Cemetery, Fruita (Mesa county), Colorado.

Paul enlisted at Denver, CO on 29 May, 1943 and was assigned to Company H, 508th PIR but apparently left the regiment.

Pvt Paterson was transferred from the 551st PIR to the 508th Service Co on 31 January 1945.  He was then transferred to Company H.

On 1 February 1945 Pvt Paterson was listed as Injured In Action but he was able to return to duty on 12 February.

Pfc Paterson was awarded the Bronze service Arrowhead device for the Southern France Campaign and Airborne Operations.
