STANLEY PENSKA

PENSKA, STANLEY 82 - of Swainton, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009 at his home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Stanley and Marianne (Podgornick) Penska, Sr., he moved from Philadelphia to Avalon in 1959 before moving to Swainton in 1972. He was the owner of the Avalon Anchorage Marina. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He enjoyed boats, cars, and the outdoors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape May Court House.

Mr. Penska is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his daughters, Pamela Funk and Lauren Mendyk, both of Ocean View; his sons in law, Robert Funk and Anthony Mendyk; and his five grandchildren, Katherine, Diana, Chandler, Joshua, and Zachary.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 10:00am. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 101 South Main Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
