CARL  PINZARRONI

Carl Pinzarroni 

   Funeral services for Carl Pinzarroni, 81, of Willoughby, a retired laborer, will be held on 11 a.m. Tuesday at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop and Rt. 91).
   Mr. Pinzarroni died Jan. 12, 2007, at Ivy House in Painesville. Born July 31, 1925, in Cleveland, he was a 50-year resident of Willoughby, previously residing in the Collinwood area of Cleveland.
   He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the American Legion.
   He enjoyed gardening and boating and water skiing on Lake Erie. Mr. Pinzarroni retired in 1990 from Curtis Industries in Eastlake.
   He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Joseph) Ricco; son, Ralph (Sandy); grandchildren, David, Joseph and Santino Ricco and Christina and Carl Pinzarroni; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Alexa, Joseph, Jack, Dominic, Nicholas and Carlo; sisters, Josephine, Antoinette and Jeanne; brother, Frank; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle (Moccabee); his parents, John and Rose (Caputo); and sister, Mary. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Carl at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Carl Pinzarroni enlisted in the army at Cleveland, OH on 7 February 1944.

Pvt Pinzarroni was transferred from the 51st Reinforcement Battalion to Company G, 508th PIR  on 16 April 1945.

according to his obituary he was buried in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon (Geauga county), Ohio.
