POLITI Victor J., of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, on May 27, 2001, at Hudson Valley Hospital Center,
Peekskill, NY. He was 85. Mr. Politi served in the Airborne Army during W.W.II, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by his son, Christopher and wife Ann Marie, of
Southbury, CT, and his daughter, Pamela, of Croton. Cherished grandfather of grand-daughters Melissa and Jillian. Predeceased by his wife Sadie. The Funeral Mass is Wed., May 30, 2001, at 10A.M., Saint Patrick's Stone Church, in Yorktown Hghts, NY. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

Victor registered for the draft in New York City (Bronx
borough), NY on 16 October 1940.
He was inducted into the
Army at Camp Upton, Yaphank, NY on 6 February 1942.
On 16 October 1942 Pvt
Politi was transferred from the 507th PIR to the 508th PIR as a member
of the Cadre team.
In November 1943, Pvt
Politi was treated for the Lateral meniscus of the knee and an
undisclosed second problem.
He was discharged on 22
