Grave marker for Michael and Mildred Posinoff in Section 4H, Row 1B, Site 48, Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell (Sumter county), Florida.

Michael registered for the draft in New York City, NY on 17 February 1942 and was inducted into the Army in  Washington, DC on  10 November 1942.

His arrival date in Company E, 508th PIR is unknown as the 1942 Morning Reports are unavailable.

Pfc Posinoff was promoted to T/5 on 4 October 1943

He was transferred to the 504th PIR on 11 April 1945.

His military decorations include the Bronze Service Arrowhead device awarded for participation in the Normandy assault.
