Grave markers for Clifton D Purdy in Plot: 47, 3, 47 of the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Harry enlisted in the Army at Denver, CO on 20 March 1943 and was assigned o Company H, 508th PIR.

Pvt Purdy was listed as missing in action between 6 June 1944 and 14 July 1944 but returned to duty

Pvt Purdy was promoted to Corporeal on 18 October 1944 and was wounded in action i Holland on 25 September 1944.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device or participation in Normandy assault,

Cpl Purdy was discharged on 9 November 1945.
