The initial draft registration indicates that he gradated from high school and had completed one year of college at the University of Utah which is just south of the city in Fort Douglas.

William enlisted in the Army at Salt Lake City, UT on 3 April 1943.

Cpl Quinn was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement Depot to Company B, 508th PIR on 8 March 1945.  His earlier postings are unknown.

The draft board final record shows that he was discharged pn 24 April 1946 at Fort Douglas, UT, the same locality where he had earlier been enrolled in college.

William died on 20 December 1987 in Redlands, CA.  His final resting place is currently unknown.
