RAUL M. RAMOS
RAUL M. RAMOS, age 83, of Anthony [NM] entered eternal life Thursday, June 19, 2014 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso surrounded by his loving family. Raul was born July 21, 1931 in Chamberino [Doņa Ana county, NM] to Ricardo and Isabel Martinez Ramos. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, retiring after twenty years of service. He received the Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Good conduct Medal with four loops, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.

Those left to mourn his passing include four sons, Raul Ramos, Jr., Rafael and wife Yolanda all of Anthony, Ray Ramos and wife Colleen of Chaparral, Roy Ramos and wife Ana of El Paso; three daughters, Rachel Stohlman and husband Ken of Las Cruces, Ramona Lane and husband Jimmy of Albuquerque, Ruby Jimenez and husband Ronald of El Paso; two brothers, Ruben Ramos and wife Louisa of Chamberino, Richard Ramos and wife Nena of Anthony, TX. Other survivors include eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Raul was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Santos Herrera Ramos on May 10, 2010 and a sister Consuelo Padilla.

Visitation for Mr. Ramos will begin at 5 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Baca’s Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 6 PM. At his request cremation will take place and inurnment of cremains will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at a later date.
