JAMES P. RASSETTE

REDDING -- James P. Rassette, 77, of Redding died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at SunBridge Care Center For Redding. No services will be conducted.

Born April 7, 1924, in Oakland, he moved to Shasta County in 1992 from Pine Grove. He was an owner and operator of -- general construction company, -- U.S. Army veteran of World War II, -- member of the Redding Masonic Lodge and -- member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include wife Geraldine; sons James and Richard, both of Charlotte, N.C.; brother Raymond of California; sister Betty of Livermore; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled Allen -- Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding.
