KEITH L. REDINGTON

   Mr. Keith L. Redington, Sr. , of Guntersville, departed this life on February 10, 2020, at home after a battle with a chronic illness.
   He is survived by three sons, Keith L. Redington, Jr., Mitchell Redington (Cindy), Bruce Redington; three grandchildren, Chasity Jackson (BJ), Christian Fennell (Glenn) and Courtney Redington; three great grandchildren, Audrey Jackson, Mya Fennell and Asher Fennell; a sister, Shirley Michaels and a special sister-in-law, Frances Cowen.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Deerman Redington, his parents, C.H. and Hattie Redington, five brothers and four sisters. Mr. Redington was originally from Altoona, Kansas where he joined the United States Army, 508th Paratroopers Division.
   Mr. Redington moved to Guntersville after marriage. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for Madison Materials, Arch Coal Company, Whitaker Contracting and retired at the age of 82.
   Mr. Redington never met a stranger and was known by many for his hard work ethic and love for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his great-grandchildren. He was everyone’s “Pawpaw”, and was known by all kids to always have gum in his pocket to share.
   Mr. Redington's pallbearers are Chuck Deerman, BJ Jackson, Glenn Fennell, Clay Massey, Robert Bodine and Brad Bodine.
