CHARLES P. REYNOLDS

Cemetery Interment Control Form and grave marker for Charles P. Reynolds in Plot 2J 1064 of the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale (Suffolk county), New York.

Charles enlisted in the Army at New York City, NY on 23 January 1942.

Pfc Reynolds was wounded in action in Normandy on 13 June 1944.  He returned to light duty with the Service Company to complete recuperation.  Two weeks laterT5 Reynolds was listed as  he rejoined Hq 1st.

T5 Reynolds was listed as seriously wounded in action on 24 December 1944 but later rejoined the regiment. 

On 18 August 1945 SSgt Reynolds was transferred to the 513th PIR.

His military decorations include the Purple Heart with 1 OLC, Combat Infantryman Badge and the Bronze Service arrowhead device awarded for participation in Normandy beachheads and Airborne operations.
