PATRICK L. REHMER
Patrick L. Rehmer, age 50, of Gardiner, passed away due to a car accident on Saturday, January, 11, 2014 near Gardiner. A celebration of Pat's life will be held Saturday, January 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Gardiner High School Gymnasium. Fellowship will follow the service at the schools multi-purpose room. Military honors will be held following the service by the National Guard Honor Guard Squad. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for his son, Sean Rehmer, through First Interstate Bank in Gardiner, MT. Pat was born on March 1, 1963, in Kankakee, Illinois. He was the son of Michael and Katharine Rehmer. Pat and his family lived in Momence, IL before moving to Livingston, Montana when he was about 14. He received his education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1981.

Following graduation Pat entered active military service in the United States Army 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on June 17th 1981. He received an Honorable Discharge on June 16th 1984 from Fort Hood, TX.

Pat and Julie, Pat's high school sweetheart, moved to North Carolina together. On leave from basic training Pat was united in marriage to Julie R. Briggs, on January 22, 1982, in Livingston, MT. This marriage was blessed with 4 children, Joel, Kory, Alex and Sean. Following discharge from the Army Pat and Julie resided in Livingston, Mammoth Hot Springs and then settled just north of Gardiner. They were approaching 32 years of marriage.

Pat was from a family of electrician's. His father operated Rehmer Electric in Big Timber and Pat followed his father's footsteps taking an electrician position with Xanterra in Yellowstone National Park, having worked for them the past 28 years.

Pat was a kind, fun and conversational man who would do anything for those near to him. He was an avid sportsman enjoying the outdoors. He loved any time that he could spend fishing or golfing. He had a true passion for music and loved playing his guitars. His wife and sons were the light of his life. Watching his son's athletics made him so very proud of the men they were becoming. Any time spent with his family and friends was the ultimate way to spend a day.

He will be missed, always remembered and truly loved.

Pat is survived by his: Loving wife, Julie Rehmer of Gardiner, MT. Sons, Joel Rehmer, his wife, Brandy and first grandson Palmer of Billings, MT, Kory Rehmer and his wife, Sara of Billings, MT, Alex Rehmer of Tulsa, OK and Sean Rehmer of Gardiner, MT. Mother, Katharine Voss and her husband, Richard of Momence, IL. Sisters, Alyssa Gibson of Kalispell, MT, Jennifer Warmoth and her husband, Britt of Bourbonnais, IL and Amy Bertrand and her husband Brady of Manteno, IL. Half-brother, Sam Rehmer of Livingston, MT. Mother-in-law LuVerne Briggs of Livingston, MT. Sister-in-law, Becky Sherrill of Billings, MT and Brother-in-law Steve Briggs of Livingston, MT. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Pat is preceded in death by his Father, Michael Rehmer and Father-in-law, Sam Briggs

 Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
