Lawrence registered for the draft in Miami, FL on 1
July 1941 and was inducted into the Army at Camp Upton, Yaphank, NY on
8 June 1944. Note that he listed his primary contact as being in
Miami, OK and that he was employed in Miami, FL. Both locations
are valid.
Pfc Rhoades was transferred from the 82nd Airborne
Division to Company C, 58th PIR on 13 October 1945.

Private Rhoades has been in the Army 20 months, 12 of which he spent overseas. He is now stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.
A machinist before his induction, his home address is Miami Route 1. He is the son of
Russell Rhoades.

Lawrence was discharged on 8 June 1946 but re-enlisted on 30
January 1948 and served until 31 August 1969 when he retired as a
Sergeant First Class. |
