Grave marker for Robert L. Richards in the Saint Johns Episcopal Parish Cemetery Johns Island (Charleston County) South Carolina.

Richards was a member of Company A.  He enlisted on 10/14/1942 at Ft Jackson in Columbia, SC. As a parachutist volunteer, he was sent directly to Camp Blanding, Fl where the 508th had just been activated.

Sgt Richards remained with the regiment through Normandy, Holland and the Bulge.
