Pvt Richardson was transferred from Camp Wolters, TX to Hq
Hq Company, 508th PIR on 11 November 1942.
Between 21 March and 9 June 1943 Pvt Richardson attended
Communications School at Fort Benning, GA.
He was promoted to the grade of Pfc on 20 January 1945.
His military awards include the Combat Infantryman Badge
and the Bronze Service Arrowhead device, both awarded for action during the
Normandy, France Campaign. |
