Charles enlisted in th
Army at Tyler, TX on 10 July 1942 and served qwith the 509th Parachute
Infantry Regiment. He was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead
device for the Southern France Campaign and Airborne Operations
Pfc Roberts was
transferred to Company H, 508th PIR on 19 February 1945.
