BERNARD D. ROHRBAUGH

Grave marker for Bernard D. Rohrbaugh and spouse in Section A, Lot 132, Spaces 6 & 7, Cimarron Cemetery, Cimarron (Gray county), Kansas.

Bernard enlisted at Garden City Army Air Field, KS on 23 December 1940.He was tapped for OCS and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 14 July 1942.

1st Lt Rohrbaugh was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement depot to Company H, 508th PIR on 7 March 1945. Two weeks later he was sent on detached service to attend pathfinder school with the IX Troop Carrier Command.

On 15 July 1945 he was listed in the officer telephone directory as a platoon leader, Co I, residing in the officer's quarters at 4 Im Burgfeld, Frankfurt, Germany.

He was discharged on 1 February 1946.
