(Buchanan county), Missouri. Pvt Rohwer
transferred to Co G from "Headquarters" on 5 December 1942. He was
appointed to the grade of Corporal on 4 February 1943.
On 15 August 1943 Cpl Rohwer transferred in grade as a
member of the cadre assigned to the 541st PIR which was activated August
12, 1943 at Fort Benning, Georgia where he rose to the grade of 1st
