Lee enlisted in the Army
on 23 December 1942 at Salt Lake City, UT. It was not until 5 Aug
1944 that Pfc Romero was transferred from the 82nd A/B Division,
Leicester, England to Company E, 508th PIR, Nottingham as a replacement
for Normandy losses.
Pfc Romero received the Bronze Service Star device for
the Holland campaign and Airborne operations. |
