EDGAR W. ROSEBERRY

Grave markers for Edgar W. Roseberry in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington (Richland county), Ohio.

Edgar enlisted in the Army on 29 October 1942 and on 5 November 1942 Pvt Roseberry was transferred from Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN to Company D, 508th PIR.

On 30 June 1943, he was appointed to the grade of Pfc.  Then on 22 February 1944 he was appointed to Corporal.

Sgt Roseberry was wounded in action in Belgium on 31 December 1944.

On 2 October 1945 TSgt Roseberry was transferred to the 14th Reinforcement Depot for trans-shipment to the United States,

He was discharged on 7 November 1945.

His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart and Bronze Arrowhead device awarded for participation in the Normandy assault.
