Grave markers for Ernest A. Sallee in the Atchley Cemetery
(Clark County), Arkansas.
Major Sallee was the C.O.
of Hq 2nd in 1943 and broke both ankles going off a jump tower. He was
transferred out of the 508th as a consequence and may have been disqualified
from parachutist duty altogether.
