Willis enlisted in the Army on 6 January 1941 and volunteered
for parachutist duty.
His early service record is
unknown but he appeared on a roster of names and home addresses for men in
Hq 3 at APO 757 [Frankfurt], as of 23 September 1945.
Willis was discharged on 6 January 1946.
