WILBUR G. SAUER

Grave marker for Wilbur G. Sauer in Plot: Y, 1 B of the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale (Suffolk), NY.

Wilbur was a member of Hq 2nd Bn and Company "I" during W-II and was wounded on June 24, 1944 in Normandy, France and was awarded the Purple Heart.  He also was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead Device to be worn on the European-Africa -Middle East Campaign Medal Ribbon for participation in Normandy assault.
