Grave marker for Percy E.
Schools, MD in the Ephesus Christian Church Cemetery, Flat Iron
(Westmoreland county), Virginia. He was the namesake son of Dr. Percy E.
Schools [1888-1963].
1st Lt. Schools was
transferred from the 82nd Airborne Division to the 508th Medical
Detachment on 25 July 1944 with the principal duty of Battalion Medical
Officer.
On 7 December 1944 he was
transferred to the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment 4 December 1944.
Capt Schools was with the
504th Medical Detachment aboard the Queen Mary when it sailed from
Southampton, England on 28 December 1945 arriving in New York Harbor on
3 Jan 1946.
He was discharged on 6
July 1946 |
