PERCY E. SCHOOLS, JR.

Grave marker for Percy E. Schools, MD in the Ephesus Christian Church Cemetery, Flat Iron (Westmoreland county), Virginia. He was the namesake son of Dr. Percy E. Schools [1888-1963].

1st Lt. Schools was transferred from the 82nd Airborne Division to the 508th Medical Detachment on 25 July 1944 with the principal duty of Battalion Medical Officer.

On 7 December 1944 he was transferred to the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment 4 December 1944.

Capt Schools was with the 504th Medical Detachment aboard the Queen Mary when it sailed from Southampton, England on 28 December 1945 arriving in New York Harbor on 3 Jan 1946.

He was discharged on 6 July 1946
