Scott Receives
Appointment As
Warrant Officer

 Hal Larry Scott, son of lira. Margaret Scott of 317 West Ruffin 'Street, has been appointed as a warrant officer in the United Slates Army. He is now stationed at Heidelberg, Germany/
   Prior to hid appointment Mr. Scott served in the army as a personnel sergeant and personnel management supervisor. A graduate of Eli Whitney High School, he entered the army in 1954 and is now attending college in Heidelberg at the University of Maryland, European Division. He is married to the former Ann Cowell of Opelika, Ala. They have one son. Hal Larry Scott Jr. Mrs. Margaret Scott was visiting; her sea in Germany at the time the appointment was made.

   HAL L. SCOTT
   Chief Warrant Officer Hal L. 28, whose wife, Ann, and mother, Mrs. Margaret S. Scott, at 317 W. Ruffin SL, has graduated from the Army School's warrant officer helicopter aviator course at Fort Rucker, Ala. The 15-week course qualified enlisted personnel as warrant officers in basic flying techniques and tactical use of Army aircraft. Scott entered the army in 1954 and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia before his assignment at Fort Rucker.  The warrant officer is a 1954 graduate of Eli Whitney High School.

Hal served in the 508th ARCT  during the Korean Conflict.
