EDWARD R. SCOVILL

SCOVILL, Sgt. 1C. Edward Robert, 40, died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Chapel I at Fort Rucker, Chaplain Richard Gear officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing.
   Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Beatrice Garner Scovill; a son, William Scovill, U. S. Navy; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Whaley, Ozark; a step-son, Johnny Fergerson, Ozark; his mother, Mrs. Alma Scovill, Kansas City, MO.; two sisters.: Mrs. Mildred Albright Mrs. Wilrner Hobey. both of Shoshone. Ohio: and one grandson.

Application for headstone or Marker and resulting grave marker for Edward R. Scovill in Westview Cemetery, Ozark (Dale county), Alabama.

Edward registered for the draft on 16 February 1942 and may have entered service shortly thereafter. 

Pfc Scovill was transferred to Company G, 508th PIR in the latter half of 1945.

Sgt Scovill re-enlisted on 30 June 1946 and remained in service thereafter.

MSgt Scovill retired on 29 November 1969
